Spring cleaning. Fall cleaning?

Hey hi hello, anyone who still remembers me! I return from the abyss!


So, I have been very absent for the past... (checks watch) few years, phasing in and out to drop a singular drawing before vanishing once more to the aether. Oops? To cut a long story short, there were Tumultuous Times. Some now long-resolved Dungeons & Drama, a patch of very poor work-life balance that wasn't very conducive to regular artmaking, and also I got stuck in the brain void for a while.


But with regular D&D back sans problem player, far more manageable hours, and a daring escape mission from the brain void, I'm back and extremely eager to pick up where I left off!


I'm probably gonna be shuffling things about for a while - Eclipse happened, and now everything's weird. Lost is my page's aesthetic! Now I need a header image! Oh boy. So please forgive my mess while I figure out how to make an Eclipse-era dA page look nice. How is everyone? Are folks still here? Is anyone else outrageously excited for Baldur's Gate 3?

In case anyone is concerned...I promise I'll draw something other than D&D art again eventually! I'm just having way too much fun with it at the moment, it's given me so many opportunities to draw things I never would have been motivated to draw before - armour, heavily accessorised outfits, a comic????? (No, seriously, this is the first time in my life I've finished a single comic page, despite my many attempts. I'm so happy!)

Rest assured the Daily Pokémon Doodle is not dead, just on another of its long-ass pauses while my ADHD ass gets distracted by the newer and shinier thing in my life. ...I say that as though I've not been deep in the tabletop hole for the better part of a year, but shhhhhh.

So since I'm so thoroughly caught up in Dice & Distraction, why not lean into it! Do any of you play tabletop? I'd love to hear about your games, your characters and any shenanigans they've been up to, so feel free to come and nerd in the comments with me. You stand invited.

So, we're a week post-Pearpocalpyse.

Honestly? That is the most fun I've had with a deviantART April Fool's in the decade or so I've been using this site. So much user participation! So many pears! There was some legitimately sweetass artwork people made for this event, which is mindblowing, like, Biting Pear fanart being that amazing is both hilarious and kind of great. I hope that ursulav enjoyed seeing all the fanart of her pear as much as we enjoyed putting it out there!

Also, hello to the (slightly startling) number of new watchers I gained over the Pear Day and the days thereafter! I did not expect my pear familiar to garner so much attention in such a tiny span of time, but damn if I'm not flattered! (I also must tell you that the little dude will not be forgotten, I have every intention of making it into a familiar for a plant wizard so it'll live on evermore.)

If you made any pear art of your own, I would love to see it! It was really fun to be part of all of this. And if you didn't, feel free to introduce yourself or tell me something cool you know because I want to get to know you guys! (This goes for longtime watchers too, I do not remotely talk with you enough!)

I'm curious: do any of you play D&D? I've taken an interest recently and love hearing about people's characters or stories from their campaigns. Hopefully I'll be able to find a group of my own soon! :D

Hey guys! Just wanted to apologise for the sudden disappearance of my Daily Pokémon Doodle schedule - I meant to have lots up on Monday but had to go do some extra Work Work. I may or may not be on a kind of sporadic upload schedule for a little while because Work Work, but I intend to get Ledyba and Ledian finished real soon!

In the mean time, my Johto Pokémon experience will have to be limited to trying to find a Mareep on Pokémon Go! I want one so baaaad ;A; (So glad gen 2 is out now! I already have a Sneasel so I'm a very happy being. C: )
