Description
Working on a comic of my favourite scene from one of the best sessions of the Team Jailbird campaign - the four potion puzzle, and all the revelations it brought with it. I'm very aware that context is lacking for pretty much anyone who wasn't in the game, but what can I say, it's more of a personal project than anything else.
But, for those who are interested in context, context below!
CHARACTERS
Tsalta: 8-foot-tall "Half-elven, half-dwarven" Ranger. The one with the big, big hair. (Spoiler: She's super not half dwarven. Her mother has plenty to explain.) Exceedingly Scottish, the party mom.
Faeleth: Wood Elf Rogue. Doesn't feature heavily in this page, but boy will she ever later. Professional thief and ex-assassin. Our party's stoic sassmaster, and has saved the tiefling's life at least three times by the time this comic occurred.
Nothing: Tiefling Warlock. Hasn't told anyone she's a warlock and is an expert at dodging the question of where her magic comes from. Gobby teenage ragamuffin, desperately seeking the return of her kidnapped street-siblings.
Spindleshanks: Gnome Druid. Chronologically sixteen, but in gnome years he's basically ten. Feral kid raised by bobcats, has no impulse control.
---
PRIOR STORY
The party met in jail for an assortment of petty crimes (well, thefts all around - some bigger than others *coughFAELETHcough*), save for Tsalta who they picked up later. During a little community service killing lizards under the nobles' houses, they unearthed what seemed to be Funny Business, connected to the town Baron's butler, an enigmatic halfling man known only as 'Mister Hand'.
Oh, and Nothing's little gaggle of street kids went missing, which is deeply disconcerting.
The investigation of this Funny Business and pursuit of Hand (since nobody else listened or cared - missing street kids? whatever! - it seems Team Jailbird have to take it into their own hands) has revealed only more layers of sinister mystery! Arcane traps, shape-shifters, and the insinuation that Nuth's street kids aren't the only children who've been disappearing...
And now, Hand has managed to lure the party into a pocket dimension mansion of his own creation, and they are unable to leave without completing the riddles and puzzles he's left within it - to "prove the sharpness of their minds", according to the scroll he left for them at the entrance. This is one such puzzle...
