dA Pride 2017 - Blue: Peace, Harmony

I realised I hadn't made anything and time had nearly run out for the Pride event here on dA, and I'd been thinking the whole time about what to draw and not being 100% sure what to do. Time forced my hand and it turns out this is what I wanted to make, which I guess makes sense. It's just a little personal piece.

Blue is the colour on the Pride flag that represents peace and harmony: something I sure have been questing for over the last couple of years! And while I've questioned a LOT, and I can't say I'm 100% peaceful to this day, the moments of tranquility I've discovered (and even longer than moments! the last few months are the best I've felt for a long time) have been the ones where I've looked at my weird gender stuff, accepted that my gender stuff is just 'I'm not gonna put too fine a point on this, I'm just gender variant, whatever that means to me in the here and now' and gone, 'Yeah, it's fine to be like this. You can stop here. Here feels good.'

I am proud to be a gender variant person, whatever that means. Recognising that it's okay to be the way I am is the way I'm most peaceful.
